The ratings seem to be pretty good anyway, a full season pick up is awsome and hopefully that means that getting S2 is positive.

yup the demo is pretty good and that's what matters the most. revenge is their highest rated drama in that slot since 2009. tvbythenumbers states that it's likely to be renewed at this point, but of course we will have to see how it holds up after the winter hiatus since the ratings seem to get lower as it gets warmer. if it stays this compelling though i doubt we have anything to worry about.

Well, now isn’t this getting deliciously complicated. Revenge has now fully evolved from its early revenge-of-the-week conceit—which is probably disappointing only for me, because I’ll really miss calling it a revenge procedural—and has confidently transitioned into full nighttime soap mode. I’ve previously acknowledged how the show hasn’t tried to pretend any part of Emily’s revenge takes place in a vacuum and how much this has benefitted the overall storytelling. What’s becoming more clear every week, though, is just how committed it is to constantly creating new, inventive obstacles for Emily to overcome as she continues with her scheme.

That green screen at the docks was painful. They should just not shoot “outdoor” scenes if they don’t have the budget to actually be outdoors.

Glad Avclub mentioned that awful green screen because that is exactly what I thought too.

Poor Frank, we hardly know ye. This week’s episode of Revenge was a pretty large pick-up from a slower-paced episode last week and it was quite the doozy. Marriages (nearly) broke up, people awoke from comas, a couple exchanged words of love for the first time, secrets were discovered, and the aforementioned “Poor Frank” got killed. All in all, a good episode for us, but not necessarily a good episode for some characters.

Frank finds the real Emily, who's working as a pole stripper, and we learn that she's taken on the identity of Amanda Clarke, and all of the press hassles that come with it. So Emily is really Amanda, and Amanda is really Emily, and obviously Emily has paid off Amanda. I mean Amanda has paid off Emily. No wait, Emily as Amanda paid off Amanda as Emily, or ... Emily ... oh ****** it.
