I meant Hook. The comment on Neal was an aside. I should have clarified.

To me Snow has been way too understanding, and I find Regina to make it all about her pain and herself to a fault quite often.

No. Snow has never been understanding in the past. Not really. In her way, she was just as self-absorbed as Regina, while pretending otherwise. She had wanted Regina to be "redeemed" on her terms, while completely ignoring what had led Regina down that path.

For the first time, Snow helping Regina deal with the pain of losing Henry was not all about her. It was about Regina. Which is probably why Regina listened to her without needing Emma to act as a catalyst.

That is just wrong on so many levels.

And I utterly disagree with that interpretation, given Snow's behaviour in 2x21, 1x07 etc - but I sense we're unlikely to change each other's mind here and likely to get off topic in arguing with each other, so let's leave it at that we disagree on that.

Either way, will be interesting to see where Regina and Snow are at the end of the year in FTL.

I waited this whole episode for some of the Wicked witch. The promo for the next episode is promising!

99 Episodes in 99 Days
Episode 3x12 | “New York City Serenade” | #56
Written by: Edward Kitsis & Adam Horowitz
Directed by: Billy Gierhart
After Rumplestiltskin sacrificed his life to stop Pan from enacting another curse, Regina obliterated her original curse, which erased Storybrooke from existence and whisked its residents back to Fairy Tale Land– leaving Emma and Henry back in our world with no memories of Storybrooke. But all is not well back in the Enchanted Forest when Hook comes calling on Emma in New York City in an attempt to jog her memory so that she can once again help her fairy tale family and friends out of a desperate situation

What I find most interesting. The writers had it in their power to make Neal be the one to show up in New York. But it was Hook instead.

Perhaps they had finally given up on reconnecting Emma and Neal in the present.

I don't think the writers ever had any intention of making Neal and Emma get back together. The point of Neal (regarding Emma, not anyone-else) was for the whole love triangle aspect, which was pretty much over at the end of 3A. And also for Emma to confront her past, which was an important part of her journey imo.

I always saw it as Emma's past holding her back from taking a chance in the present to find her future.

I really appreciate the way hook helped emma believed after watching 6.09 with the way regina helped her remember. I like that hook was patient and was willing to eat baloney

Yes Regina's method was a bit extreme!

^One of my favourite episodes.
