My guess is that Belle is either a dream- (possible a real communication but not sure) or she is a vision brought to life by his imagination...he is imagining her and the power of the island makes her appear to him, bu it's not really her. I'm hoping, however, that she is not a trick.

Either way- I cannot wait to see the scene!

I agree. I think she's more a dream or like a physical manifestation of his conscience. Robert says she's his emotional center and we know he needs her now more than ever. Maybe his need for her is so strong that she appears to him?

I hope she's not a trick either. That would not be fun.

But while I'm sad Belle wasn't in the episode, I thought it was a good episode with some good moments.

The icons and artwork you guys come up with are fabulous.

A lot of people have said it's a dream. She's also in her old warrior uniform, which I'm pretty sure she didn't bring back to Storybrooke with her, considering Gold had to buy her a whole new uniform.

How's that possible? The last time he laid eye on her, she's in her maid uniform. He never saw her in the cleavage-bearing battle suit.

I'm not quite sure why she would appear in his dream with an outfit on that he never saw, either, so there must be something we're missing here.

But remember these guys aren't the best on continuity.

Remember in Lacey how the Dark Castle had the curtains open and we know that didn't happen until much later?
