I thought too that the curse could wake Marian up. It's very powerful magic and could break the Snow Queen's other spell.

I'm thinking Marian could wake up either when the shattered sight curse is broken or when the Snow Queen is defeated. I'm not sure if those two things might happen at the same time?

I was a little disappointed that in ep 9 we didn't get any interaction between Regina and Roland at all. It would have been nice to see him be excited to see her or them share a hug . It's not like she's a stranger to him. He was holding her hand in 3x22 when they were walking down the sidewalk eating ice cream.

I was really hoping for that too, Sherry! Especially since the episode stills before hand gave the impression all four of them were standing together, which wasn't really how it was in the episode.

From the pictures I thought that it would be different too! The scene was more hectic than in the pictures. I thought they would have a family moment of calm before the storm.

Totally agree with you guys. I just mentioned it in the Robin and Will thread, I wish we'd seen a bit more of the Merry Men preparing for the curse in general. The scene came across as a bit rushed and while I understand that this was partly due to the characters not having much time until the magic hit them... the writers still could have done more with it. I'm mostly glad that we finally got a scene with all four of them, Regina, Robin, Henry and Roland, in it. But I am longing for Regina and Roland interaction too, not gonna lie. Here's hoping we'll get something once the spell of shattered sight is broken.

I'm such a sucker for domesticity when it comes to this pairing, partly because we tend to get so much angst and drama on the actual show that I don't always crave it in fic too.
