I really loved the reveal of Rumple walking out of the back of the shop to show he cut off the floof. I miss his, but he get a new look of darkness about him. I am totally digging it.

I think Rumple is fed up with everything; his look, the people around him. At this point, I don't blame him.

Well, if being the DO is what it takes to keep Belle and the baby safe, then Rumple will be the DO. That's for sure.

If he went back to being just the Dark One, it would be him back at the beginning, essentially. He knows the bad choices he's mad, and it feels to me that he has another chance to make different choices.

I think he is really trying to be a good man. But he is doing it for Belle and not himself. Belle can't /won't see that he has made progress. Sure it's just baby steps, but you have to crawl before you can walk. Unfortunately Belle is asking him to run a Marathon. I get her hurt and betrayal but she either needs to set a reasonable goal for Rumple or she needs to cut him loose. This "I love you ", "I don't love you "needs to stop.

To be honest, I actually don't think Rumple is doing anything for Belle anymore. He still loves her, yes, and he wants to protect her and their child, but that love he has for her isn't blinding him. Belle doesn't accept all of Rumple, she never has. And now she has the gall to be "horrified" about the things he's done. Really? He was the DO when they met.
