Yeah, I think Wade's growth made it even more special because it was so drastic from Pilot to Series finale.

Yeah, it always made me sad hearing Wade so defeated after the break up. I did love the scene in a way because it showed just how much he loved Zoe even without him actually saying it to her yet, but it is sad at the same time because he was finally with the one girl that meant everything to him and then he lost her.

Yeah, I think it took until Zoe came back to Bluebell, and stayed in bluebell to realize that he might have a shot in getting her back. Especially after he saw Zoe's look on her face at the end of the night at the rammer jammer when Wade was ready to tell her that his relationship with Lemon was fake....

Yeah, we even saw that through S1 too. Wade never thought that he could make a better life for himself.
