A Letter to a Complete and Utter Stranger -MYO- Started
Ashbury School is a little over three miles away from Brookfield High. From a geographically point of view it would seem that they had plenty of things in common, from a shared bus route to the closest town. Except asking a pupil at either school might give you a slightly different idea. Those at Brookfield know all about Ashbury. It's a fee paying school, full of preppy rich kids who couldn't care less for anything else but their new cars and their big houses. But then Ashbury have nothing nice to say about Brookfield. They all want to sell you drugs and sleep around. They're not nice people.
Neither of the schools has ever taken any action towards this point. They've just talked about it. They don't need action. Both schools think that they're above that. They'll just ignore each oher and make rude comments about anyone they just happen to see who attends the other school. But on the whole they have little contact. Sometime it seems like there is three states between the schools. Until a certain English teacher steps in. One of Ashbury's teacher has had a genius idea. Mr Botherit believes that the class has lost the art of letter writing. That his mission is to rekindle the joys of the envelope. While doing so he didn't think it would do either school any harm if they tried to formed ties. Mr Botherit sometimes does stupid things. The Concept Each person in the Ashbury class is paired with a Brookfield student. They're their 'penpal' to be it crudely. The first letter is written without any knowledge, by an Ashbury pupil, of the person who will recieve it. After they do they will be expected to write back. They might not be polite about it, but they'll write back. So you, roleplayers, will have to write letters. Isn't that exciting? Of course they'll be actual role playing or so but every now and then someone will post you a letter (just write it in the thread) you can reply straight away, or wait a while. You can actually do the unthinkable and meet up with your penpal, or you can just sit back and watch the drama of high school life unfold. Who said letter writing was dull? Rules So I will admit to shameless stealing this whole idea from 'Feeling Sorry for Celia' by Jaclyn Moriarty and it's sequel (to an extent) 'Finding Cassie Crazy.' Reading the books is not needed because I like to think that the plot is quite simple. But you should read the books anyway because they're very good. Girl/boy rule. I've never liked it but without it we'll end up with an uneven number of people and then it won't work. Ha, look at the profiles. For that reason I'm not reserving spots. You post your profiles straight away. And normally I'm not that strict with things like this but all I need is a name and a played by (also your name helps), it really shouldn't take you all that long.I'm pairing up people, so if you don't post you mess it up, okay? Remember this. You're ruining it for someone else. I have this devil inside that want to ban certain play bys. I want to say no one from any WB/Fox/whatever teen television show. But I won't because I'm so very nice. What I will say is that if the entire cast of the O.C end up here I won't be happy. Especially if the Pachel Bilson character somehow pairs off the with the Adam Brody character. Rules are character building. (I made that up.) But I'm really not that strict. So we've got fifteen for each class. Which is great. It also means that I'm not closing for spots yet. Most English classes I've been to have more than fifteen pupils. (And my brother has to pointed out to be that is Ashbury is a prep school then there would probably be smaller classes. I'm skipping logic today and saying that there won't be.)
That was a very long-winded way of telling you all that there are still spots open. |

It also depends on the school as well. Cuz I know some schools only have 15 students and some don't. But I guess that all depends on how huge the school is really. And how many kids the teachers can take. Or some junk like that.
