To be honest, I hope that the show won't go with the incest route. I love them as they are now. I love the idea that they put each other so high up on the pedestal that everyone else just pale in comparison and that no one is good enough for the other.

I don't know, I'm torn on whether or not I want the show to go all the way with the incest angle. I agree with Nonie. I love the way they are now too. They love each other more than they will love anyone else. The way they are right now is so epically perfect and beautiful. It's a pure, untainted love.

But... I can't help wondering what they could be like if they did go there. It would be interesting to see how the show went about it if they did pursue that route.

Like you said, it's a pure, untainted love between them. Others may think they love each other too much for a pair of siblings. But between them, they don't see anything wrong with that. They are each other's confidante and protectors.

I mean, yes it would be interesting to see them go the incest route, and it would be hot and all that. But I do like the idea of the series being different and them not going that route and them just being the ideal courtly lovers. I think what they share is beautiful and I really appreciate that no one will ever be perfect for them because they can't really have each other

Like I said, I'm torn. But despite all the chemistry they have together, I only saw a hint of something sexual between them once in all the scenes they had together. So with the way the show is portraying them, I have a hard time imagining how they could take them from pure, platonic love to something sexual.

I agree that how they are now is perfect and lovely. But realistically, I think it may not be possible for it to stay that way. Not with Lucrezia "growing up", facing all sorts of evil, making decisions that are not really innocent (like having Sforza break his leg) anymore. I think Cesare tries to cling to the idea of pure and perfect Lucrezia because it is the only thing pure in his life, but ultimately, I think he sees that life and their father's ambitions will destroy Lucrezia's purity. When she told him that she was not a child anymore, you could see him being tormented, in my opinion, because he knows that he might be losing the only thing that is innocent and good in his life due to his father's cabal.

So I think the relationship will have to change... somehow.

I must agree with you. Both of them are going through some changes by the end of the season and we'll see what will become of their relationship now that they are basically growing up (during the second season). I'm sure they'll always admire and be fascinated by each other no matter what and will always put the other first before anyone else.

I would be ok with them not conssuming their love for each other (by that I mean sex) as long as their relationship is portrayed the same it was during season 1. With the same amount of love they share with each other. But I would also be more than okay with them showing the incest thing because at that period of time it was a common thing and what Cesare/Lucrezia share goes beyong everything...am I making sense?

I agree. All in all what I'm trying to say is... sex or not, I doubt it can remain that carefree and innocent as we've seen in the first half of the season. Sadly.
