The Borgias Season 3 General Discussion #9: New season. New promos. Even more questions.

Guys I don't think we have to be in hurry what the new season will bring us. We get different information from everywhere. I think Lucrezia will start as a pawn and then she'll turn into the powerful Lucrezia Borgia the history knows. I'm sure of that. She'll no longer be a pawn in anybody's hands. She'll create her own rules. What we know is that she'll be close to Cesare to the near end. I don't think he sees her as a pawn, not in this case. I'd agree more if they'd said that Alfonso is the pawn, but not Lucrezia.
TV Guide stated that in this season she'll learn to trust Cesare more than everyone. That learning could only mean that he'll do everything to bring that trust back, because remember what Francois said about the new season? They will grow apart only to go back together and stronger than ever later in the season. I don't get why SHO decided to show that description of the season, but I wouldn't hurry with the thoughts about it. I'd watch the first episode first and then decide for my own. No worries, May! Maybe you can do the next one?__________________

I agree with Arinna, Lucrezia has been a pawn since season 1, heck poor 13 yr old Gioffre was a pawn but even with all his machinations I never doubted Rodrigo loved his children.
I think she will start out as a pawn and gradually evolve as times goes on. I also don't see Cesare using her. |

I remember the first time when Rodrigo arranged her marriage with Giovanni Sforza.
"And what of Lucrezia?" "Sforza is...(blah-blah-blah) And her mother approves." "Must I ask again, Holy Father. What of Lucrezia? Her feelings?" He didn't like her as a pawn in Rodrigo's political games, so I don't think he'd see or use her as a pawn. When he realized she agrees with her second marriage, he did everything to make her happy. Except marry her of course.  __________________

Also in regards to Alfonso, Lucrezia chose him as husband. I still think she chose him because he seemed controllable. She was savvy enough to manipulate her way out of older brother by sleeping with wierd face
With Sforza she had no choice. |

Weird face is definitely that guy's nickname uh? no one remembers his name anyway
And I agree Arinna, we might see that in the first 3 episodes but once Alfonso comes back, I think things will change.. |

Me too!!! And I think we will!!!! Once C&L are lovers, Cesare will become very possesive.
