That makes it even more weird though. I don't think the scene is a dream anymore. But what it is exactly? Some sort of romantic... evening? But then what's Cesare doing there? Him guarding her it would be kind of ridiculous. I'm sure that Alfonso has enough men for that task. And I don't think he'd agree for Cesare to stay so near them... and even watch them.

Do you think that's possible? I mean, he didn't look worried at all.

I still think Alfonso is not going to die in the first 4-5 eps.. so these scenes should take part before he dies.

Maybe he is there to warn them, because he does seem to look around. The fact that Lucrezia and Alfonso are kinda out in the open is interesting though. They are not exactly in a closed room.
Also about her an Alfonso being so far apart implies a lack intimacy. I still like the witness to the consummation idea though, it gives Cesare a reason to be there. |

But Cesare to be that witness? Really? Hmm.

I am not good with history lol, I guess it would be Cesare or Rodrigo both of which are weird
I was also thinking about the witness thing again, with Sforza no one witnessed the consummation so they were able to come up with the whole "he is impotent" excuse but if Alfonso and her have and witness, they wouldn't be able to pull that trick a second time. However I don't see Alfonso insisting on a witnessed consummation as a protective measure. |

THIS ^ and if it was Rodrigo's idea. he would do it to make sure Alfonso is caring and not abusive, not because he's afraid this one is impotent too.. since he damn knows Giovanni wasn't impotent in the first place.. but really, you think Alfonso would agree to Ces being a witness? the mirrors thing in the candles do look weird, and kinda suspicious, so I think we're getting close to what's really going to happen but we have not clicked it YET.

I don't think he's there by choice in that scene. Or, he just want to make sure that Alfonso is behaving well.

Ohh, so everyone thinks that Cesare is there to witness the consummation? for Rodrigo? That's gotta be awkward.

I'm still doubtful.. I like the idea, and it makes sense for the most part.. but something tells me it's not it.

I think we're gonna keep debating and guessing about that scene until the episode is out.

Or until the descriptions come out? sometimes they give us a clue, and the episode caps..

Well, Mario Puzo's novel actually implied that Rodrigo wanted Cesare to....well, be part of Lucrezia's wedding night, so to speak.
