"Guinevere!" Arthur said her name to get her attention
as she walked away from him, and in that scene, this pairing
captured mine. Arthur and Guinevere, future king and his
queen, they were inevitable but I love watching them every step
of the way. I love how she can knock him down a peg when
necessary, but she also has the ability to pick him back up
when he's down. I love all their stolen glances and longing
looks. I just love them together, in whatever way I can get them.

My love for Arthur and Guinevere has a lot to do with how
enchanting I believe they are. Their undeniable attraction to
one another despite their class differences and their forbidden
love makes them intriguing and captivating to me. What is
quite endearing is the way Arthur seems to become a better
person because of Gwen. He listens and takes her opinion into
consideration when his superiority in terms of class doesn’t
justify him having to be. I’m also fond of the way she stands up
to him with little fear, if any at all, and I can’t help but believe
that he admires this and it plays a major role in his growing
feelings for her. They bring out the best in one another and it is
incredibly adorable to see them being playful and fun with each
other, breaking down the barriers society has put on them. Their
story has taken a unique turn in this version of the Arthurian
legends and I can’t wait to see how their love story enfolds.

I love Gwen and Arthur for many reasons. A few those
reasons are superficial ( Did you ever see such a pretty
couple?), a handful are chemistry based (they just sizzle), but
most of the reasons are about the change we've seen in Arthur
because of Gwen. When Arthur and Gwen had their
first 'shipper' episode together, we saw Arthur being a bit
selfish and spoiled but by the end of the episode Guinevere
had taught the future king a very important lesson: Humility.
Arthur is brave, trustworthy and loyal; things that will serve
him well when he becomes king. Saying thank you, asking
instead of ordering, admitting when he's wrong, these are
virtues that will shape him into the great King Arthur. The
king of legend.

Arthur and Gwen, the prince and the handmaiden. With these
two I actually began shipping them before I had even watched
an episode of the show. I thought pretty girl, handsome guy,
what's not to like? This could work. And boy did it work. Well I
started watching season one and was surprised by the lack of
Arthur and Gwen, but as the season drew to a close their
potential only grew. Guinevere! When season 2 began I
was definitely not expecting what was about to happen. The
Kiss. Drop. Dead. Gorgeous. The backlight, everything. The
fairytale kiss every girl dreams of. Magical. The rest of the
season gave us more great moments, and I'm sure in the
future there will be a lot more. Gwen brought out Arthur's best
qualities, helped him to further prove himself as the rightful
heir to the throne. He in turn gave her the love and hope in her
life she so desperately needed. They balanced each other out so
they could both grow together as people. I could not have
asked for anything more, fantastic chemistry and such strong
dedication and love for each other. Someday, they will rule
Camelot. The Future King and Queen.
