after all this years they are still one of my most favorite couples and when i think of them the word epic always comes into my mind first.

I couldn't agree more
 I recall how strange Richard behaved toward Kahlan at the beginning of the second season but then in Ressurection when he had been revived, he crapped her and kissed her in front of all of the others! __________________

Yes! The beginning of the season was a little tense for them, but they ended up working it out. I love that they became comfortable with showing their relationship in front of people.

I'm wondering what the problem was at the beginning of the second season... The realization that they loved each other and that they somehow couldn't do anything, also not ignore their feelings... Or Richard being a Rahl, or Cara being around now or what?

I think it was in part because of Cara, or mostly actually, because they knew they couldn't be together from the beginning, so that shouldn't be any different.

We just can speculate about it either...
 They left so many stuff to figure out for the audience in the show.  I wish there was more closure.__________________

They did! And that kind of came from nowhere so they really left it up to the audience to have to guess on why it happened.

There really was a lot... I recall that in a lot of episodes we got a Richard and Kahlan scene at the end but somehow it was always kept open...

We got so much BC in the later part of the season, that I completely forgave them for causing the rift in the beginning though.

Yes, you're right about that... Although later on in the season there was some quiet time for Richard and Kahlan again. Walter, Extinction and so on were really rare.__________________
