That’s too bad about Congeda. I still don’t love the behavior from some of its organizers that I saw online, but I did meet some of them back in March, and they were working very hard to put it together. It was going to be cool to have Eli Goree there, too.

I hope you get that Dystopia 3 VIP ticket, Sonja! Damn, I still think that’s so early to be selling them again, though. People need time to replenish their funds!

I don’t mind a break. That just means we’ll get to enjoy it even further into the summer.

Thanks April ... I think the con organizers want to use the hype about the con to sell the VIP/Gold/Silver/Standard Tickets, so that they have a money foundation for planning the guest list

I don’t mind a break. That just means we’ll get to enjoy it even further into the summer.

From what I've seen it's only a two weeks break between 5x05 and 5x06, so I think we can handle it after we have handled a 11 month hiatus

Yeah, I get capitalizing on the hype, but man, I’d have to see a guest list before I could commit. Then again, I’m gonna have to fly halfway across the country, so . . . ugh, America, why are you so large?

Hmm, Sachin’s tweeting a lot in response to the Congeda cancellation. Not sure what it’s about, but it’s an official legal matter now and sounds kind of bad like the Polaris Con stuff was:

The Conageddon VIP Ticket System is much better than the Dystopia VIP Ticket System ... to order a VIP Ticket for your favorite guest ... I would really like it if they would offer the Dystopia VIP Tickets like that

If I want to go to the VIP Party, I have to order a VIP ticket without knowing which guests will come to the con

Ooh, it’s getting a little messy on Twitter between one of the Congeda girls and Sachin. One of the same ones who lashed out at Conaggedon for “shading Congeda” even though they literally never tweeted out anything of the sort is now lashing out at Sachin. Man. I don’t know. I don’t know all the info about what’s going down, but it sounds not good. Like I said, Polaris Con all over again. (And apparently Polaris Con STILL owes some people, like, 750 Euros from a year ago.)


ETA: They sold the tickets before ensuring that they could pay for everything, just like PolarisCon did. They also said they would not be booking over 5 guests, and then they did. So . . . yeah, not great. And there’s a lawyer involved, so let’s just hope everyone gets their money back, and for those who booked non-refundable flights (which seems like a lot of people)l let’s hope they can go, meet up with some other fans, and still have a great time.

Oh man! That seriously sucks for people who bought tickets. What is wrong with these organizers? And yeah, a lawyer being involved does not sound good.

If the whole con gets cancelled, it's really irresponsible of them to not refund the full amounts. Ruins their image/hope for running future conventions. Not a good look.
