I think maybe the way Sachin worded some stuff was unclear, but I can’t believe one of the organizers would lash out at him the way she did. It’s like, come on, girl, that was one of your guests. Be professional when responding.

But anyway, yes, I hope everyone gets their money back. It’s really too bad, because it seemed like it was going to be a fun Con with everything they had planned.

That just sucks about Polaris Con and it sounds like a mess.

Some of those people shouldn't lash out at Sachin like that but also, I'm not sure if he should have commented about it to start with ... given that he doesn't know details behind what happened and there are lawyers involved now. And also, it's a lot of work organising these conventions/events and a lot of BTS stuff that we're not privy to. People just need to be more professional in general, unfortunately the fans inevitably will end up suffering the most because of these sort of situations.

See, things like these really makes me think a lot before committing to going to an event because with the best of intentions, it can still go south just like this (and Polaris). Though I still maintain that Polaris sounds dodgier than Con-Geda.

Hypable preview of 5X04! Sounds like a great episode TBH, and lots of things going on. Wonder why the screeners haven't said too much on this one though, before this.

I don't really know what's happening with that Con stuff

But the way their original cancellation statement reads to me is that they're not even sure that they'll be able to refund all fans for stuff already purchased. And that's just a no-go

Also, what a late cancellation at all

I checked their twitter yesterday and saw that they were still announcing extra guests/extra's last week

Dystopia is already selling VIP/Gold/Silver tickets because they want to ensure that they will have the money to actually have the con happen.
Which I get, but with none of the guests announced yet, I'm definitely not purchasing a ticket yet, certainly not any VIP/Gold/Silver ones

Before Dystopia 2 started, they had kinda already announced that there would NOT be a Dystopia 3, because they just hadn't made enough money on Dystopia 2. But then they sold SO many extras, that they decided to go on with Dystopia 3 anyway.

I'm guessing that they were still hoping that there'd be a surge of fan interest in it before the actual event but of course, it's not so fair to those who already purchased tickets, bought flights etc.

I saw a lot of packages still being offered and also, discounts on some of them ... so that was probably a giveaway that they might not be selling enough of them.

Bummed since Eli was going to be in this one and he hardly ever attends The 100 conventions now.

I'm so sorry for the poor fans who can't meet the cast members and can't be sure if they get their money back

Thank god, the most con organizers are doing a better job than the Polaris Con/Con-Geda organizers

The Hypable preview sounds great

... I think 5x04 will be as good as 5x03 or even better

Yay for The 100 ranking #2 on that list! With many of the other shows going on hiatus soon, I’m eager to see if we can get to #1!

Yeah, Polaris Con still sounds sketchiest of all.
