I think Nina and Ian could do so many kinds of scenes together. I think they would bring out different sides of each other and the same goes for their characters.

Very true, and it will be fantastic to see that development.
Their characters just shout to be brought together. They're so fierce and passionate, both of them, that it is impossible to look past their connection.

I agree about Ian/Nina. I personally really like the whole cast which is something I haven't ever felt before (apart from with Lost) but Ian and Nina's scenes have been like fire on a tv screen.

I really hope the writers give us a chance to witness that development.
They would bring out so much passion and fierceness in each other. Their connection is just undeniable.

I agree that D/E is inevitable. I personally feel that the 2nd season will be ours. At the moment, it would be out of character for Damon/Elena to have anything other than tense/sarcastic scenes. The way I see it is in the next few eps with everything out in the open Elena will see the human side of Damon. The side he keeps hidden. Maybe he'll save her at some point? But there will still be underlying fear/anger from her. Then I think we'll get something real good towards the end of the season which will be built on season 2. That ended up being waffle lol
