Yes, that is exactly what It thought of Damon in this scene. Those eyes were so sincere and moved. He was moved by her sentiment. They were cute in that scene

I want more of these moments, but now it will be hard with Elena knowing that Damon is the one who attacked and killed all these people.

Well, Im glad that she knows because now we can move pass it and all the moments that they have in the future will be with the knowledge that he is a vampire. It will make all the little moments that much better.
