Just reviewing the latest episode, the scenes with D and E never seem to disappoint. The passion and fire is there. The Damon and Elena alone time scene was touching. The look he gave her as he talked about Katherine dying in the church and talked about its all for the love of a woman to Elena was scorching. And Elena crept closer to Damon and said, that she cant be caught in between her and Stefan. The song that played behind that was very pretty. It was by Sofi Bonde called "Fallout" here are the lyrics:

Which brings a question, we should also build some soundtrack for Damon and Elena from songs from the show and songs that fit them??

Also on another note, even though Elena had slapped Damon for what he had done to Caroline, is just another stepping stone of Elena seeing Damon for who he is and to develop later acceptance. The steps of building this relationship is acceptance of who each other and knowing thats why you love them bad and good. For Damon and Elena to last to string them long enough to build them so when they do end up getting to that point of falling in love, they are in the same page of things too.

I agree with you about the song. A music supervisor on a TV show just doesn't pick up a random song to play in the background without any point of significance. I'm always trying to think positive, and I do believe that they are giving Damon/Elena a slow and steady build-up for them to bridge together romantically. Ian and Nina have such spectacular chemistry, and I am sure they will share more scenes as filming goes on and more and more people begin to recognize how wonderful these two play of each other.

Nina: Ian and Paul are like my brothers. Ian helped me buy my first car last week. I got an Audi. He bullied me into it. He was like, “You have to get this one. You’re going to love it.” I would have gotten a Volvo, as long as it got me to the set. I don’t realy care.l
