I was disappointed at Matt being mean to Caroline in the flashforward. No matter what, after they got over their drama they've always supported each other. I don't like this. I wonder what brought Matt to this place.

matt always seems angry lately.

but yeah, i didnt like their interaction in the ff much either. i mean, i was happy to see them in a scene, but not in that way.

I'm guessing it's whatever made him lose his girlfriend. Maybe Stefan kills her, since Matt seems the angriest at him.

For anyone who wants these two endgame at this point:
I have to say I do. They are one of my absolute favorite ships of hers. Yes I didn't like how Matt treated her before, but now he understands her. They still care for each other a lot. Matt has really grown as a character.

I was glad we got some scenes in season 8, especially because they dint get anything in the finale. One last "matt!" from caroline when they were asking about vicky.

I mean i knew they were doomed since the start of like season 2 but still. I always loved their interaction and they were sort of the first caroline OTP of the show so I will miss them.

I guess seeing that Caroline is single after Stefan's death there's a tiny little chance that they could have dated again lol.
