Yeah that´s so true Butterfly85 (sorry I don`t know your first name). They revealed Angel beeing a vampire pretty early in Season 1 if you watched the show from the start.
And when Spike arrived he got out of the car and you saw him with his vamp face.

Yeah, that's true. I think we were supposed to be more curious as to why he was so different from the other vampires. I think it was more shocking when he lost his soul in s2. I didn't see that coming.

I did like the episode where I think they made it look like he lost his soul again until the end of the episode. Maybe in s3?

Oh yeah when Angel lost his soul yeah that was a tough one but I loved David as Angelus.

Angelus was pretty hot. But the end of s2 when he got his soul back but it was too late...

I can't even remember...how did he get his soul back?

Willow is a great witch. It was her first big spell in that episode.

But it was too late.

I don't think anything on TV ever made me cry as much as that scene did. I probably cried 20 minutes after the episode was over. It was so heartbreaking.

I remember that maybe the female teacher had the spell on her computer or something like that and Angelus destroyed it.

Why was he bought back?

Yeah Jenny had that spell on a disk that felt off the table and landed next to it and Willow found it in the finale episode of Season 2 (so it was there for some epidodes) and used it to give Angel his soul back.

From what I understand, Joss didn't intend to bring Angel back in s3. But the fans wanted him back so Joss brought him back. I'm not 100% sure on that though, but I remember hearing that somewhere before.

I remember hearing something like that too. And also didn't in the show the "higher powers" bought him back because him and Buffy were the chosen ones or whatever term they used to save the world at the end of the series?
