give or take a couple weeks, or months for me to catch up...
... but the article was a good one, and it's good that the show still has new stories to tell after so many seasons in... __________________

It did leave a lot of possibilities for the new season. And gave some insight on the characters, and some openings for more information.

Hopefully the next season will be a complete one, and the writers will have time to focus on sharing all these stories.

It likely will go back to be as close to one as you can get. Before this season. NCIS was on a 20 or more range. Not as high as the old days, but much more than the current trend. Yeah, so they can get and deal with some of the stories in more detail.
They did well with the 10. But yeah, some of the little things that came out in the finale, would have gone into more detail in a more traditional season. __________________

they did really well with just 10 episodes...
I would even say that they have managed to come up with a cleaner season than the last writers' strike season.... But indeed with at least 20 episodes next year, they should have plenty of opportunities to expend on these stories... __________________

Of course, it helped that the strike happened at the beginning so they could structure the season in a way that they knew was going to happen.
The last strike, it happened in the middle of the season. And yeah, things happened during the course happened from the first half of the season to the post strike episodes. Hence the Jenny Shephard ending LOL. And beginning of the Vance era. So, yeah it was more cohesive. Even if they could not go into some of the details that would have been warranted with the way the finale played out for both relationships, and career changes. __________________

True - but I also feel that they have managed the short season really well.
Not dragging out the Torres season opener too much and making sure that every got an episode more focused on them while still having a greater story arc in mind... ... Yeah, the Jenny Sheppard ending... that still doesn't add up fully... but ee got the Vance-era afterwards, and there no major hard to explain storylines... Anyways, what do we hope for in s22? __________________

Only hope I have so far for S22 is that they can somehow bring in more NCIS LA references

that would be nice
My wish would be to either hear about what happened with the NOLA team, or have Bishop return for a couple episodes to give us some answers on where she was & what did she do... __________________

I wish they'd address that while the shows may be over those teams & other characters still exist. Especially with all three cancelled now

Very true - not talking about them ever again will not make them disappear...
here's hoping for references, and to actually learn about the team's post show life... __________________
