I just said this in the episode thread, but I still really liked the break up even if Raj's reasons weren't the best because he did it - I think that's still huge for him, and will hopefully create more growth as the season continues.

With Emily being made a regular, I think it's like when they made Sara Gilbert a regular in season two - they thought they'd have more for her to do than what they came up with and it just didn't end up working out.

I'd be surprised if that was the case Though I suppose they exist, I've never heard of stories where the boss willingly want to pay their employees more money.

It could also be a status thing, though because the writers will often do things like give names to random extras and such so that their resume will look more impressive and not have "Man #4" on it. So they could also have done it so that Laura would have series regular on her resume instead of just guest star.

Anyway, though I'm not sad to see Emily go, I really feel bad for Laura because she always seemed so happy to be on the show and would spoil us with pics on IG

When they made her a regular, I'd hoped they'd learned their lesson with Leslie, but apparently not.

I'm satisfied with it ending because that means the writers won't have to scramble around to think of something for Raj/Emily just so they won't be totally idle during their scenes
