Just over half way into the final performance.

Edit: It's over. Can't wait to hear how Stefi found the show!

What a great run its been for Jim with all the amazing reviews and ticket sales!

I wish I could watch a Broadway show someday but I'll be poor for the next decade or so due to university

Hey, just a quick update: it was wow! Jim was brilliant. And after the show, I managed to take nice pictures and have my playbill signed. I will post the pics later.
Funny thing: as we were waiting for Jim after the show, Christine Baranski walked by... Apparently she was on her way to the theater for Wicked. That was so random and cool.

Haha that's okay But still it's incredible...I've never been a 100 miles near any celebrity. I'm not a celebrity-crazed person but I would like to someday see someone I really liked from near by

Luckily for me he walked by me twice, it gave me a second chance: I was too impressed the first time as he signed my playbill!

He was so nice to everyone, especially children.

Was there any kind of speech at curtain call after the last performance?

Yaayyy! So excited for you!
Very happy you enjoyed it so much - did you have a favourite part/line?

Thanks for the pics!
About Christine Baranski - I saw a mention on Instagram that she was in the audience for AAoG, although that may have been mistaken. Maybe she saw two shows that day. Cool that you saw her, anyway.

Did Jim seem noticeably emotional at all, at the end? Or did he seem tired, happy… Whatever?

@ Roxanne: no, there was nothing special because it was the last one. They sang, said goodbye once all together, then Jim and then he was gone. Then we saw him outside 20 to 30 minutes later. I think I saw Todd in the audience, but I am not sure.
@Vicky: I did not notice him being especially emotional about it, but he almost made me cry at some point (the Abraham speech) and I could swear he has tears in his eyes. But that was probably just part of the show and of his amazing talent.
My favorite line: "no Holocaust, no Cabaret". I love Dark Humour. And also, "America, stop asking me to bless you!" but there were so many witty ones!

Yep! On that theme, I also enjoyed "I'm here in New York… Which is as close as I want to get to America."
That Holocaust line made me wince somewhat, but laugh at the same time.

The Abraham speech! Yes! Rosie and I were talking about that too. It really stood out as an emotional moment.
Did you notice how sparkly his eyes are onstage, especially during the mischievous parts?
Oh, I could go on for hours about all the parts I loved...

Stefi, I'm so happy you enjoyed it too! Isn't it just amazing? It's almost difficult to put into words, it has to be experienced. But the combination of the hysterical writing, Jim's delivery, his timing, his charm, the seamless transition to the moments he is serious.........the whole package just screams "give this man a Tony!!"

I can't begin to imagine how much time it took to memorize what is almost a monologue, and spend 8 shows a week performing, only 1 day off per week, yet make each show fun and impressive to the point of receiving repeated standing ovations after each show.

Just my humble opinion - if you have a chance to buy the book on which the play is based, I recommend it, because it will bring back the lines that Jim said, and make you laugh all over again.

Thank you for sharing your pics!
