We'll probably go back to Zoom! It's nice rolling out of bed, having breakfast, just having to turn on the laptop and you're 'there.' No commute across town, no parking, etc. (No having to go to the bathroom down in the basement, if Nature calls...). Maybe we'll alternate, go in person once a month or something like that. Still figuring it out. Baby steps!

I never wanted to do Facetime or anything like that online, and I thought 'praying to the computer' was bizarre, but turns out it's very nice, and now we do that and also have a monthly Zoom with Mr ML's family. I hated the idea of a camera/microphone on my computer (luckily it's just on my laptop, which I mostly only use for Zooming). So much tech spying these days - I've mentioned things in emails to my friends and then - surprise - ads about those things pop up in Facebook (it's just evil).

Mr JJ reads lips….. he was born with nerve deafness . The mask thing for him was horrible. It can be kind of a superpower though for him…..we were once somewhere and there were people behind some glass and he could figure out a lot of fhe words they were saying

I will admit ….online church was easy with four kids…..less stressful
But, we are back in person now

Yep I’ve noticed when talking to people about something all of a sudden on my phone and socials I’m seeing ads for whatever we were talking about.

I love watching the ones where people lip read but it is not even close to what they are saying, they are just trying to match it with their lips, it is so funny!

I'm also no sociable ML!! Totally relate, my hubby is the social butterfly.

I think I saw something on a comedy station where they were trying to match up what the royal family was saying during the coronation. It was funny, when handed the program Queen Camilla was supposing asking to have the chicken

Getting 4 kids to church would be tough! And masks must have been awful for Mr JJ. I've seen some with windows in them (masks) but not many people had them. Mr ML's mother was deaf in one ear - she had trouble at noisy parties.

Yes the Royal lip reading was funny - Charles seemed super crabby.

It's been chill up here in MA too - in the 60s and 70s. Summer is taking its own sweet time coming, aside from one or two HOT days. Had some big thunderstorms and rains too.

So I went up to my closet to try on dresses for MLette's shower (next weekend!!), pulled out all the flowery teaparty ones. First one didn't even close (asked Mr ML to zip it) - nope. Into the Goodwill bag. Second one sort of closed, but Mr ML ripped off the zipper pull, trying to zip in up (into the scrap/fabric recycling bag) - too bad, that was a nice dress (for somebody a size or two smaller). So I'm down to the super ugly yellow flowered dress (that I hate) but bought for my cousin's son's summery outdoor wedding. OH well, it still fits.

I went dress shopping with MLette (neither of us is really a flowery-dress type gal) and I couldn't believe how ugly and strange all the clothes were in the store, awful colors, awful patterns, just one weird looking thing after another. Anyway, she managed to find one (she didn't hate too much and looked pretty good in). After this shower, I'm definitely giving away that hideous yellow flowered dress though! I only kept it because my college class color is yellow and I thought it might come in handy at some reunion (that got cancelled last time for Covid). Nope, Out it goes. It's just Not Me!

Looking forward to her teaparty bridal shower, though. That should be a lot of fun!
