remember me is good. and the elephant movie... resse is in it too. yes. i've used no caps. i'm that lazy right now.
jason bateman was a child actor in the 80's who came off as an arse then. arrested development was a rebirth of his career. he's never been a favorite of mine. i can put my phone down. i insist on it at dinner. y'all! my life is so crazy right now. it's a long story, but we moved downtown in february and now, i found out thursday, we have to move again... next week. i did negotiate a bit more time, so we don't have to completely be out of this space until the 15th. buckle up the next two weeks are gonna be fast and furious for me. but i have been promised that after this we are settled for at least 12 months. this no caps thing is killing me. i thought i could do it and not care. nope. __________________

Why do you have to move again? Ugh.
And, of course, I have to respectfully disagree with the Jason Bateman thing. He's worked pretty steadily since childhood, which is an accomplishment in itself, but you are right, had mild success until all the accolades for Arrested Development, and now Ozarks. I've always loved him. I think he's great. __________________

That's crazy you have to move again. Glad that at least you'll be settled for a year after you move this time, it's such a pain in the butt to do.
I spent all day planting flowers which took me so much longer because my back and left side have been bothering me. I have no idea why, I thought it was how I slept up north, the mattress there is super soft but it's still bothering me almost a week later. Ugh. |

I still have to do my spring gardening. Its been raining so much lately. This morning I drove 40 minutes north to play 1 inning of a softball game that was called because of thunder and lightning. Then, soaking wet, went for a much needed mani pedi eyebrow session, and then went to see my best friends girls off to prom. Picked up take out and now am planted on the couch watching Laverne & Shirley. lol This is where I plan to stay for the night.

It's been super warm and humid here but rained really hard for like an hour yesterday and then it cooled down. It barely made it into the low 70's today which was actually really nice weather to plant flowers. I think it's supposed to rain tomorrow.
I'm doing laundry and going to watch hockey or Blade Runner. I'm not leaving the couch. |

We watched the Greatest Showman and Game Night tonight. I loved them both. We also watched half of Deadpool which I did quite enjoy, despite it being a superhero film, but I couldn't stay awake so had to put it off. The irony is that now I can't sleep and it's almost 2am here! Kayla, sorry to hear you're having to move at short notice. I don't know the back story etc but it sounds like a pain in the bum regardless! I love Jason Bateman too! |

Yes! That's it. I wanted to say Like Water for Elephants, but that's Like water for Chocolate...a favorite movie of mine.
I've not read the book, I should though. Maybe I'll grab it from the library next time I'm there. I didn't even realize Jason had worked steadily. That's how not on my radar he is. The silver lining in my patience over this entire housing ordeal is that I now have a MUCH larger apartment. I'll take it. We were supposed to move into a 2/2 in February. It wasn't ready so we've been in a 1/1 since the end of February. Many delays later, we are now getting to move into a 3/2. It's not on this property, it's at a sister property to this one though, and the management company is paying for our move. That's the very short and drama free version. So now we each get our own bedroom and I even have enough space to make an office of sorts. I SHOULD be able to get enough out of one storage unit to combine the two I have into just one. YAY! That'll cut my storage costs in 1/2! THEN, I can sell the remaining unneeded furniture and all that's left should fit into a smaller unit, cutting my costs again. I may even be able to get them into a storage unit on property and then everything is in one place. Oh happy day! Quote:

Meanwhile I'm in house-selling hell. Ugh. I hate everything about it. And I'm still so conflicted about selling it. My aunt left it to me because she wanted me to always have somewhere to live. I don't really want to live in that house though. But I feel like I'm betraying her. The real estate agent is showing it tomorrow (the first one) and I feel torn about having strangers in my aunt's house. She would HATE that. I kind of want to go over there during the showing. But I also kind of DON'T want to be there. Does that make sense?
Anyway .... you guys were talking about Robert Pattinson, yes? I like him too. I've still not seen the elephant movie. I'm afraid it's going to be too hard seeing the elephant mistreated. It feels like I've had a crush on Jason Bateman my whole life. lol Except I saw him on "Punk'D" several years back and he came off kind of a jerk, so it turned me off personally but I still love his work. I saw him on Stephen Colbert's show recently and I think maybe he just has a caustic personalty. By the way, I think I might've mentioned this before but he was in a terrific thriller a couple years back, called The Gift. (It's not the one with Cate Blanchett or the one with Cameron Diaz.) Amanda, I think you'd like it if you haven't seen it yet. But I think it might be a little too creepy for you, KiKi. lol Oh and I LOVED him in Pete Berg's movie, The Kingdom. I'm the lone wolf again. I started Game Night but didn't care for it so I never finished it. I think my expectations might've been too high. I saw Solo. Yes, yes, I know I'm the only sci-fi fan around here. lol If you're going to a Star Wars film, don't bother with this one. I was bored through most of it. Here's the trailer for The Gift. |

The kids and I think Solo is a no go too. We don't even want to see it. I'm sure we will eventually just to say we did. But, we are in no hurry.
Your aunt would want you to be happy and comfortable where you are living. If you can take the money from the sale and buy something else, she would be okay with that I am sure. She justed wanted to make sure you were taken care of. I understand the memories and emotions make it hard. For all the fond memories you have, you are blessing a new family to make their own memories in that house now. You can take comfort in knowing they will now care for and love that house the way your aunt wanted for it to be loved. Make your peace with it and move on with the memories in your heart. __________________
