Rules are slowly being relaxed here too but we still have to be super careful.

We currently have zero COVID cases in our little Province, but that's a good thing. They are slowly opening things up, but with some restrictions. They are even considering opening up Provincial boarders for the four Atlantic Provinces. We will see what happens after they do.

Things are just as confusing here and with people being ultra stupid it will be a wonder if another major break-out doesn't occur. The beaches on our coastline were packed with incomers from London last weekend and during the heatwave. The whole of lockdown easing seems to be a bit shambolic.

Did you hear that Florida alone today had over 8900 new cases in one day. Crazy.

Cases are rising again in certain areas where I am. I would not be surprised if we had to restrict things more again.

We currently have zero cases here in my Province and it's been 17 days without any.

I still only go out when necessary like to the chemist to pick up prescriptions and we did have one trip to recently re-opened gardens where the biting insects were waiting for us. I had to get some antihistamine tablets from the chemist while picking up my usual prescription, for three very unpleasant bites.

Other than work, I have been enjoying my deck quite a bit this season so far.

Weather here unsettled - one day extreme heat and the next torrential downpour which led to leak in garage roof caused by building work next door. Luckily neighbour and 'roofie' friend got up and (hopefully) fixed it. Spent most of yesterday afternoon mopping the floor. , baking scones and soda bread, then cooking chicken dinner.

It rained all night and this morning and hubby says no sign of flood. The bread turned out a bit stodgy so will use different flour next time. Unfortunately the extra baking I have been doing and lack of exercise has put on even more weight. I must do something about it or I will need a new wardrobe!

In the first month of COVID, I was having a couple drinks every night. Thankfully I am back to just having drinks on the weekends. I called them my COVID cocktails.

Yes, the gin bottle is a little emptier these days.
Had my son and partner around for dinner tonight which was really nice. We are allowed to meet with one other household now. |

We are allowed family bubbles, so on Friday I'm having a Family Bubble BBQ which includes mine and my sister's family. __________________
