Going to do my Tai Chi exercises this morning. I got a DVD of exercises when on a weekend break last year, so do that once a week instead of my usual Tai Chi classes.

Been a bit lazy this week but will try to keep exercising when I can. I have a few pots and troughs in the garden with strawberries growing nicely. Also, I planted some old potatoes which were going to seed and they have grown well. Hoping for some home grown veg and fruit later.

We planted some Tomatoes, yellow beans, chili peppers, jalapenos and some flowers. Right now they are in small cups waiting to sprout. some are up and some aren't. This will be my first time growing any veggies though. I've planted flowers from seed before, so I'm interested to see if this will work. If not I might have to buy some seedlings.

It's worth a try. I bought the strawberry plants last year with herbs, bushes and flowers. The bushes have just about outgrown their pots but the herbs have come back this year, along with the lavender. It's worth trying to grow stuff as it's surprising what comes with just a little input. My mother used to grow tomatoes in a greenhouse and learned how to pollenate them from watching Don Corleone in The Godfather!

My potatoes were just a few that were sprouting in the bag before we got a chance to eat them so I just planted them in pots to see what happened. We have a lot of foliage but no flowers yet. Apparently when the flowers appear they are ready to pick. I learned this from one of the gardening pages in a magazine.

I couldn't find and jalapeno seeds, so I planted the ones out of one from our fridge. It's been two weeks and no sprouts yet, so we went to a garden centre and picked up some actual seedlings, so I'm hoping I can keep them alive long enough for it to produce.

Well I grew some mixed peppers last year from garden centre plants and they were quite successful but prone to attack by weevils. Hoping the insects don't decimate my potatoes and strawberries this year.

Went to the chemist today to pick up my new meds for my asthma. Had a chat with a doctor yesterday and she prescribed me a new inhaler and some antihistamines. Hope it works!

Pretty exciting day today, I bought a new (to me) Van. It has a lot more features than my current van, so that was quite exciting.

My doctor wants to put me on a different puffer too. She wants to take me off of the ventalin. I don't use them very often, so we'll see.

I'm putting my plants in pots on the deck, so I hope that we won't have any bugs, however, I will likely put my yellow beans in the garden since the beets will be there anyway.

The new medication seems to be working - it is a steroid inhaler. I use it in conjunction with my Ventolin.
