Our restaurants have been allowed to do take out right from the beginning of all of this, but this week they are allowed to have limited dine in.

There are a lot of mixed messages given about what is safe, so it's really a matter of using common sense. I think all restaurants could do take-aways but it was not worth it for them and so they closed. Pubs are the worst affected as they are likely to be the last businesses to open due to the very nature of their layouts. I think it will be hard to organise the washroom facilities as most pubs have pretty poor facilities anyway.

It really is trial and error. Some of our places have opened up but I still am only going out if I really need too.

I only go to work and home, hubby does all of the shopping right now as he is working from home. It's a whole new World right now.

It’s kind of the opposite in our household. My husband has been working beyond full time the past few months and I have been temporarily laid off. I hope to get back to some kind of work soon but I don’t know when that will happen. In the meantime I have been doing the shopping and taking care of my mom since my dad passed away a few years ago. My mom’s hip has gotten really bad and she is actually having surgery in a month to fix it.

I hope your mum gets her surgery on time and recovers well. Most of this kind of surgery has been postponed for now over here because of the virus. It is impossible to see a GP at the moment as they are only taking on-line consultations and following up with a telephone call to discuss medication and treatment. In my opinion our government has mismanaged the whole pandemic procedures so there are a lot more cases than there need be. We are a group of Islands and if lockdown had happened sooner we could perhaps be in the position of New Zealand now which has declared itself to be virus free.

On a cheerier note the zoos are set to reopen next week which is great news as they rely on visitors to keep them going and to feed the animals.

Thanks, I appreciate it. A lot of the surgery has been postponed here too, it wasn’t until recently that they started opening other non emergency surgery dates up. I am glad she is getting it because she has been in so much pain.

Our Province has flattened the curve. We currently only have 4 active COVID cases right now. The only thing I worry about is if we get a second wave.

Rules are being relaxed now but it is still wise to be vigilant. China has had an upturn in cases so has re-introduced lockdown. They are blaming imported European salmon.

My husband is pleased as Premiership football has resumed, but without crowds.

At the moment it is Aussie Rugby all morning and English football the rest of the day. Never mind I can always watch old Columbo episodes on the upstairs TV.
