I mean, just the melody and the lyrics that are so signature David.

Plus that it only has one verse.

Well, ADAM, BBS and Avalanche are actually my top 3.

But I really love Declaration and Heroes too, CBTM was one of my initial favorites, I've always had lots of love for IDIFY even before the amazingcakes live version that sold it to most people, and KOTN is wicked cool! And I actually have found myself being kinda into LO lately.

Do you have other favorites besides the ones you mentioned?

David was in the process of writing and (I assume) recording his 2nd solo album after AH when he got on AI. Obviously he had to stop working on it during the competition and when he won, he started writing and recording DCTR. I don't know how many songs from the 2nd solo indie album he tried to get onto DCTR but ADAM is the only one that made the cut. He later played 'We're Only Honest When We're Sleeping' on the Declaration Tour. He probably never used the other songs because you know how he's all about progression.

Yeah, especially the chorus and the whoa whoa's since they go so high and keep repeating. Oh, I would love to rewatch a live performance, so it would be great if you could do that.

I can also look for my favorite ADAM performance(s) when I have more time, but not now.

He really does.

And he's said it's the hardest song to sing on that album, but still he always seems to hit those high notes (as well as the low ones

) so effortlessly.

He really did. There's a little pause after that one high note in the song and especially when he's performing it acoustically, people often cheer after it.

Like here:

He's doing a Q&A here so the song starts @ 3:10 and the cheering is @ 6:05. (The Q&A part is kinda like an interview if you wanna watch it. xD)

I like this performance a lot too, I feel like it's actually more dynamic than the one above.

I'm listening to some of the other songs from that event, at the start of one I think he's talking about Haley Reinhart, I love her music

I never watched any of Haley's performances on AI, but when her album was released, one of the songs was written by a singer I like. That's how I discovered her
