I didn't know he was also a writer on Friends! Interesting!

Me too. Instant Classic. I might go rewatch it now. That or catch up on Grey's.

There really are so many things to do! Or watch, rather. I fell asleep though before I could get started. I'll catch up before the finale, though!

I think The Three Days Rule is my least favourite of Greg's eps.

Swarley is one of my favourite episodes of all time so I love him for writing that And Showdown and Something Borrowed were both eps I love in S2.

And they all start with S!

This thread (and title) is awesome! I definitely appreciate that HIMYM is as good as it is because of the writing, and was the first show I thought of when I read this article in Variety:

Shows to scrimp on scribes - Entertainment News, TV News, Media - Variety

Quote:
The cost-cutting crusade that has gripped the nets is hitting the scribe tribe particularly hard because there's often more wiggle room in the number of writers working on a show than there is in other areas of a production.

Really interesting article thanks for that! Seems Carter and Craig keep a short leash on the show though they are so involved and the writing team is already relatively small which really surprised me.

I'm on the fence as to whether a smaller team of writers would be beneficial to some shows. Of course it'd be shame for those that would get cut though.
