Disney hasn't been waiting 2 years, I started the thread there on 10-08-2007 so it's been about a year and a half - it's taken that long because we had such a backlog of boards to begin with. We are sticking to the list order when possible, some just take longer to work out than others.

Plus... being annoying doesn't remotely help it any way.

I think what Kara meant is that since let's say a board takes a year to customize, why not post the customization thread later, like 6 months, instead of sooner to make the posters wait less longer.

As soon as I post the thread asking for suggestions we make the graphics. Within 2 weeks we've made about 6-10 graphics and I set up a poll for the Graphics Team to vote for a winner. The poll lasts three days. The part that takes a long time is setting up the styles, and getting everything uploaded. The team is completely on top of everything but it's the second stage that takes a long time. However, there isn't really anything we can do about it - believe me, if there was a way I would have thought of it already - it's about 10 times more frustrating for me than it is for the rest of you.

Kara - there's no point in me starting a thread asking for opinions at all if it's 6 months later - the graphic will already have been made. Unless the graphics team starts not asking for opinions first.

I know that it's the second part that is taking so long and that there's only a couple of people working on it, which brings another interesting point - wouldn't it make your (and everybody's) life easier if there were more people working on the scheme/coding? Especially since you basically wrap the graphic part in under a month.

Um... not really no, funnily enough

Plus giving lots of people access to the server is a recipe for disaster. I accidentally took off the whole of FF's default style with one accidental click once.

I'm working on changing how we do this slightly - to hopefully make things less frustrating for everyone.

From now on I'm closing and unsticking these customization threads as soon as we have heard your opinions on colours and pictures. Leaving them open and topped is just reminding people about it all the time and making them more frustrated/impatient. When a board has had it's customization completed I'll re-open the threads so we can hear everyone's opinions on them.
