Pretty big error on their part. Maybe they forgot Adam is part of the main cast since he got bumped to the background in favor of Simmons.

Actually, now that I think about it, maybe they did that on purpose to give CM a better chance at possibly scoring a nomination? Might be easier with more categories and splitting people up. Though, having only Adam under that is weird, so maybe not. Maybe if Aisha had also been put there it would make more sense, so who knows. I saw people asking Harry on Twitter why they did that. I didn't see a reply when I checked, so I'll look at his Twitter later to see if he responded.


Also, just saw on Spoiler TV that season 14 is 13 episodes.

Too bad procedurals don't usually get awards-love.

13 final episodes for CM doeasn't make sense for a Fall schedule. If it's their final shortened season, CBS would have prioritized scheduling a new show on their spot and move them to mid-season where ratings are so-so.

My bet, CBS still hasn't decided on how many orders and will reveal on the fall TV upfronts.

Two thoughts , for a Emmy they usually choose one episode , might have been one where Adam wasn’t a big part ..

I agree 13 is short order, if it is to be the final season. I would except at least 18 /20 . I don’t want to wait for winter of 2019 for CM

Looking at the Spoiler TV article, it does say potential episode counts. So some of those may be guesses and some might be accurate.

Like you said, d18, a shortened season starting in the Fall for a 14 year old show seems odd

Aug 5 is the CBS TCA 2018 schedule. If it's the final season, I imagine it will be announced that day.

In 3 wks right after July 4 writers return, then the cast is back end of July . Mid July we will have everything

Harry might give us an update about an episode count when they start writing/filming. I could see CBS not officially announcing anything until the TCAs

Yep. Writers usually return in June. Which makes sense, since filming starts mid July. They have to brainstorm ideas and need to have the first few episodes ready to go by July so they can do the table read and then jump into filming.
