NBC just released their schedule and it's going to be a One Chicago Wednesday, that synergy of all 3 Chicagos is going to be great competition. So while we wait for CBS' upfront how about some predictions...
Will CM move time slots again? Fall or mid season airing? Final season announcement or not? 13 or 22 episodes? |

I'm hoping for a full season order, but I won't be surprised if it's only a half season. 13 is usually the standard number for a half season, but they could do more or less. Preferably more though, like between 15-20 wouldn't be too bad.
I'd also like to think it'll just stay in it's time slot. CM has been an improvement in that time slot, no point in moving it, at least in my opinion. I'm not really sure where they would even move it too. Fridays are full with MacGyver, Hawaii 5-0 and Blue Bloods. Maybe Sunday, but it seems like they have shows ready to go there. CBS usually doesn't change too much for the most part, so I'm hoping CM will stay on Wednesdays |

From the CBS upfront - Criminal Minds remains at Wed 10pm. It's going to contend with A Million Little things (ABC) and Chicago PD (NBC).

You beat me to it! Was just about to post that.
So it will for sure be on in the Fall. Hopefully that means it'll be a full season (20-22 episodes). I suppose it could still be a half season, but I feel like they would have waited to air it in the Spring then, but who knows. Quote:

At CBS’ upfront press breakfast, the network’s entertainment president Kelly Kahl said that the exact order size for Criminal Minds has not been determined. (It is expected to be somewhere between 13-22 episodes.) Will Season 14 be Criminal Minds‘ last? “Never say never with a show like Criminal Minds,” Kahl told Deadline, noting that the crime drama has “a very passionate audience.” |
