A lot of my schoolmates don't read, and they're proud of it. I happened to mention once to my friend a book that I read, and he was like "er right. I don't read." And I thought that was just sad. I mean, if you don't like reading that's fine. But you don't have to brag about "I'll tell you what my favourite book is when I read one."

Once I was at a bookstore and they had just hired someone new. One of his co-workers was showing him around the store. And she came around to where I was standing and was telling him how the books were shelved alphabetical by author's last name, and he said, "Ohhh. So that's why I could never find anything." And not even in a sarcastic way or anything. I was very worried.

To quote the person directly, "I never did need to read no books."

Most of the guys at my school last year said they didn't like reading because "all the books out there are written for girls", which is not true.

"I hate books". I actually see a lot of this comment in Friendster (a friends connection site).

So true Movies about books are always different from the actual book. Sometimes you need to read the book to see what the movie missed.

And sometimes, well, most times, the books are better because it has more detail or scenes that weren't in the book.

Like Twilight. They left out some amazing scenes.

I remember how people complained about that.

A lot complained about the meadow scene. One of the best moments in the book and it kind of sucked in the movie.

At the same time I feel like Twilight had that low budget movie feel to it.

This is true even tho I notice that most movies have kind of different details that didn't happen in the book since they prob want to change something..

The movies got better afterwards, though. Their budget was definitely bigger then
