The Shining was really good (much better than the film version, IMO). It's still my favorite of all of Stephen's books.

I thought the movie was very good. A close representation of the book, although no movie can accurately portray the scariness that the book was.

I just watched Misery last night, Man Kathy Bates is amazing in that movie, scares me every time! I loved the book as well, but Kathy just makes the movie for me. She brings the creepiness to life.

"Misery" is great! One of the best Stephen King novels and movies.
And you're right, Kathy Bates is great in that movie. |

IT is beyond my favorite book period. I had nightmares for weeks. My Mom made me wait until I was 12 to read it.

LOVE Stephen King. IT, The Stand, Pet Semetary, Misery, The Shining, Carrie, and Cujo are all the ones I've read. Unless I'm forgetting some. But Stephen King is completely awesome.

I've read IT at least 15 times since then, and it still freaks me out even though I know the whole story almost by heart.

Gonna have to agree with you on that. There's more to IT then what they showed in the film.
I also love The Shining and Firestarter |

The Shining was awesome, it's a horror classic. I haven't read it in years, but I think it is time to read it again. I don't remember Firestarter although I know that I read it.

I heard that they were going to re-make it for The sci-fi channel, but I guess that fell through.

I used to love Stephen King novels, but I stopped reading them for some weird reason....I've only recently started to read Stephen King again..I just finished Cell, thought it was fantastic. Should be interesting to adapt to a film
I think I'm going to re-read some of my favourite King books...IT, as many people have already mentioned, The Shining,The Stand. I also liked Desperation, and from what I can remember, The Tommyknockers. I'm going to have to dig out my books and see what other ones I have And I've missed alot of his recent stuff..so...lots of reading ahead of me __________________
