Hey everyone.
I don't usually post on this thread or any of the book ones but I do like Stephen King on occasion. Did any of you hear about this news story about him? I found it really cool .

That's a really cool idea though. A bookstore wouldn't even know that he was in their store but find liek 20 of his novels signed!

He seems very elusive! That is so cool, I wish I could get a signed one.

I loved Carrie! "It" is one of my favorites. it's so difficult to pick one favorite though because he has so many great novels!

I must admit I've only read his Dark Tower series but I do like them a lot (I'm on book 6 now). I might read some more of his work. I tended to avoid him because he writes horror but the Dark Tower series doesn't seem so bad. Can anyone recommend me and others of his books which are similarly fantastical?

Well a lot of his books are amazing. Some others to look into reading that also have been made into movies are: Thinner, Misery, Dolores Claiborne, 1408, The Green Mile, Dreamcatcher, Hearts in Atlantis, IT....

Alright, so I've never read any Steven King because I always thought he was a little overrated but, what would you recommend for me to read because I'm interested in perhaps reading some of his stuff. I'm not a huge horror fan but I don't know what else he writes and I feel like I need to read something of his. Please give me a suggestion. I appreciate it.

The Green Mile is a really great book, the movie is amazing as well. Dreamcatcher is another great one.

Those two are not so much about the horror factor as they are about the twist ending.
