There's a thing I find in some authors in Romance in general (not just LGBT) they have a formula and they stick to it. There was one I read that I SWEAR just ctrl+F her manuscript and just went about changing names for each book.

Agreed on both accounts.
If it's a series it doesn't have to have hea in the first book imo. As long as it happens by the end. __________________

Even if it's not a traditonal HEA. If it doesn't spell it out but leads you to assume I'm ok with that. __________________

I may not mind a non traditional HEA if it did seem to show ok they aren't there yet but you just know it will happen. But I don't know. I've never read one with that kind of ending. And I think if I did read one I would still be well I'm glad you can tell they will get there but eh I still wanted the traditional ending.
When I first got KU (sometime last year I think) I read a book I thought was a romance but the ending was not sad and I was so shocked. I remember thinking this is not how romance books are suppose to end. Are you kidding me?! But looking back I don't think it was necessarily a romance but just had romance in it. |

They were. There's one more coming out this month I think.
Since it took place in the south there were a lot of yalls in it. I felt annoyed reading it which is weird since I use it all the time. I wonder if that's how people not from the south feel when they talk to us. __________________
