just bought this book, and I'm about a 100 pages in so far... not the best book ever written but finding it hard to put down either way. some Kinky stuff in there

I read somewhere that this was originally a twilight AU fanfiction, so I can't help but notice some similarities in there (the word dazzeling) being thrown in here and there

It's so strange how addictive the book is when it's honestly not the most original story or that well written, still it's hard to put down. I don't think it's the fact that it's erotic fiction because I've read stuff like that before and of course I've read fan fiction so I don't quiet know what it is about this series that is so captivating.

The Twilight fan fiction angle is very obvious, I can even figure out who is supposed to be who. I find it odd that Rosalie is in the "best friend" role in this book since she and Bella didn't really like one another in the Twilight books.

Wouldn't you agree though that the story more or less mirrors the Twilight movies and not the books though? Several of the character quirks remind me moreso of the Twilight actors than that of their fictional bases. Ana's lip biting that is so often mentioned is right out of Kristen Stewarts portrayl of Bella.

I've read erotic stuff in the form of fanfiction but this is the first when it comes to actual published stuff

Glad it's not just me that picked up on certain things... christian warning her away, but then he's right there the next minute and he plays the piano for crying out loud.

Ana's clumsyness and the constant biting of her lip, and not forgetting the best friend who wants more and the absentee mother figure, they just keep piling up as the book moves along

If Ana had any sense, she'd be running for the hills, but alas she's about as dumb as a rock when it comes to relationships. I do like that she does at times have a backbone and doesn't just always bow down to Christian like Bella did to Edward.

i'm half compelled to give this book a read, but a majority of me believes i shouldn't waste any money on what is probably a piece of entertaining trash. and, yea, i probably shouldn't call it that until i read the book for myself, but knowing it's based off a fanficition... erm, i think that's a fair assessment. i wasn't aware the book explored a dominant/submissive relationship though. seems kind of hilarious that this is what nine and a half weeks was to the 80's... only more embraced now. or maybe society is just a bunch of sheep buying into the hoopla.

I enjoyed the sequel more as well. I'm going to read the third one after I finish two other books I've got on my reading list.

Badly written, originally Twilight porn fanfic, which was so successful that she changed the names and got published. Good for her! Not the best books I've read but as someone else has said...addictive

I read all 3 books and the only thing that resembles it being related to twilight is that it's a love story and it has the same amount of main characters who all are involved in romantic relationships with each other. Other than that the story holds it's own. The characters have their own problems and I actually think Anastasia is a stronger female character than Bella.

I think that pretty much sums the book up really.

I love fanfiction and have a lot of respect for those who write original stuff and create their own characters from the beginning, but I don't know why people can't just come up with stories in the first place rather than hiding behind other peoples characters to get reviews and fans ect. seems kinda cheeky. (don't mean to offend anyone who has, it's just my opinion)

I totally get your point there, but I think the majority of people in fandom arn't going to read original fiction, but if you use characters they love or actors they like, they'll check it out.
