Fifty Shades of Grey

When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.

Erotic, amusing, and deeply moving, the Fifty Shades Trilogy is a tale that will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever.

Fifty Shades Darker

Daunted by the singular tastes and dark secrets of the beautiful, tormented young entrepreneur Christian Grey, Anastasia Steele has broken off their relationship to start a new career with a Seattle publishing house.

But desire for Christian still dominates her every waking thought, and when he proposes a new arrangement, Anastasia cannot resist. They rekindle their searing sensual affair, and Anastasia learns more about the harrowing past of her damaged, driven and demanding Fifty Shades.

While Christian wrestles with his inner demons, Anastasia must confront the anger and envy of the women who came before her, and make the most important decision of her life.

Fifty Shades Freed

When unworldly student Anastasia Steele first encountered the driven and dazzling young entrepreneur Christian Grey it sparked a sensual affair that changed both of their lives irrevocably. Shocked, intrigued, and, ultimately, repelled by Christian’s singular erotic tastes, Ana demands a deeper commitment. Determined to keep her, Christian agrees.

Now, Ana and Christian have it all—love, passion, intimacy, wealth, and a world of possibilities for their future. But Ana knows that loving her Fifty Shades will not be easy, and that being together will pose challenges that neither of them would anticipate. Ana must somehow learn to share Christian’s opulent lifestyle without sacrificing her own identity. And Christian must overcome his compulsion to control as he wrestles with the demons of a tormented past.

Just when it seems that their strength together will eclipse any obstacle, misfortune, malice, and fate conspire to make Ana’s deepest fears turn to reality.

Discuss away, I didn't want to use up the other thread by going off topic. I'm sure lots of people are reading this. I'm on the second book myself. Yes it's very adult and there is lots of talk about it, but regardless if you think it's a good book series or not, it's got lots of people buzzing about it.

Thanks for opening. I have the first book on my kindle, that I will check out

It's not the best written book, but for some reason I could not put it down, it's very addictive that way.

Stay to the Lights 04-29-2012 08:18 AM

Yeah. Sometimes you can overlook the writing if the story is captivating.

~*Nikki*~ 04-29-2012 08:20 AM

I don't even know if that is the case, but there is just something about it. It's also got a real "Fever" vibe to it as well, but I think that was just because they called each other "Mr" and "Ms" alot.

Stay to the Lights 04-29-2012 08:24 AM

Haha really? I like that  Trying to keep the professional wall up.

~*Nikki*~ 04-29-2012 08:29 AM

Well on Ana's part it's more joking, but yes Christian always calls her "Ms Steele" and I enjoyed that for some reason.

A friend of mine recommended it to me..
I so want to read it..
also there's gonna be a movie right?

~*Nikki*~ 04-30-2012 04:05 AM

The rights to the movie have been bought by Universal and they're in the casting process now. Ian Somerhalder has expressed interest in playing Christian Grey which would be awesome.

I'm almost done with the second book, enjoying it much more than the first one. It seems more original than the first one.

^ Me too! Just started book 2. The first one completely sucked me in and I finished in two days. Just something about it.

I know right? It's not the most well written book and the storyline isn't just that amazing or refreshing, but something about it just keeps you glued. I am almost done with Book Two.

So far I prefer the second one to the first, it is just more my style I suppose, more plot to it.

I am starting the first book shortly
