I didn't love Dan for stooping to Blair's level and playing on insecurities he knows she has, but I loved him up until then, and he made up for it by telling Chuck the truth and then apologizing to Serena.

Overall, I'm still liking him more than Nate and Jenny right now.

Why was Vanessa so utterly pointless this episode? She literally had only two scenes.

I actually kind of liked NJ wasn't expecting that. I think there was a pretty big gap from last episode. So obviously the show just skipped ahead, like always. It didn't seem forced at all to me.

I actually really liked Dan until the end. I've always been a Dan fan, he just isn't my favourite. Not only did I not like what he did, but it just wasn't him. It was pretty cruel, and Dan isn't cruel. I think regular Dan would have confronted Blair about it, maybe in an indirect way, but he would have. It just seemed like an easy enough excuse for the writers to get their way with the CB scene.

I only really want to comment on two things about tonight. CB was awesome and I'm happy with where they are at right now. Otherwise:

1. Nate/Jenny: OMFG. I loved it. Their scenes were great. They are so hot together and they seem to have genuine feelings developing. I think they would be awesome as a couple!!!! Love Love Love them.

2. Even when I think Vanessa's just gonna be a background character in an ep she still manages to piss me off. Dan was just being loyal to his --- friend who omits that she got herself into the trouble in the first place. She brought Blair/Chuck upon herself. Up until speaking to Vanessa, Dan was awesome. Especially in his scenes with Blair. He redeemed himself at the end so no worries. And my heart broke for him when Serena was getting all googly about Aaron. You could tell he was hurting but he tried not to show it to S because he wants her to be happy. But, seriously V is such a life ruiner.
