To me, Val is much funnier IDK, I never found Donna particularly amusing. But I do think Tori was funny on the reboot.

I'll simply put that Santa Knows is one of the worst episodes to ever exist in any show, ever. Also, Emma is one of the worst guest stars to ever exist.

Also, Hilary Swank should've sued the show for their mistreatment of her. Did the fandom really hate her that much? I know she wasn't famous back then, but her character is definitely one of the least problematic aspects of this season. Shame on Spelling and the gang for forcing her out

There was an episode called REUNION where Andrea came back and

oh my gosh, the writing

~ Donna telling Noah she never cared if his grandmother's jewelry was real - COMPLETE lie Plus, the fact that she let herself get manipulated by Val, the same way Brandon did when Val caused trouble for him and Kelly... Gimme a break.
~ Andrea is stuck in bland marriage hell - even when Jesse is OFF SCREEN it's so typical of them.
~ The characters they pretended went to school with the gang who we'd never seen before
~ Valerie helping Kelly with the Ross Weber situation (getting sick and tired of these forced 'let's be friends for one moment while we agree on something for once, then go back to hating each other in the next episode' WHAT'S THE POINT?
~ David singing about condoms... Actually, this was the funniest part of the episode. Despite its utter cringe factor.
~ Brandon looking lost all the time... Is this Brandon or Jason? He just looks like he can't wait to leave the show. It feeds into my whole belief that the 7th season should have been the last.
~ Steve acting like he's 15 years old with the dumping-Janet-for-shower-sex-with-random-blonde story arc. I'd say 'change the record' but we all know this show LOVES recycling everything.

This show just became a shadow of itself.

Last episode I watched of season 8, two days ago ~

-- Penultimate episode of the season
-- Brandon and Kelly display some nerves and doubts but nothing that actually suggests they would even CONSIDER calling off the wedding. That's as clear as I can put it.
-- There was a random plot about a foreign guy reuniting with someone... Um, I honestly can't remember what that was about.
-- Valerie and David have the WORST BREAK-UP EVER, next to Kelly and Brandon. There is ZERO build-up to it - one minute they're all cuddly, the next David is being cold to her and refusing to allow Val's request to move in with him and suddenly, a swift "we're done!" scene. I hate this as much as the Wedding episode.
-- Noah and Donna have random fights that don't make sense half the time. I feel as if the writers don't like that they're an item in real life because their chemistry is so good that it should really prevent her from ever getting back with David, so they're determined to keep doubt in viewers' minds about her feelings for Noah so that they can keep the door open for her and David. I do think Noah and Donna fit well together and it's another relationship casualty of this terrible last half of a season.

1) Brian and Jason have great comedic chemistry here
2) Brian's sweater looks like it has been stretched a lot

I cannot fathom what the hell the writers were thinking with that character. The actress would've been suited more to a creepy Lifetime movie because her acting was so cliche of the obsessive stalker.

If they were trying to sell us on the idea that Brandon would be easily seduced, they failed. She gave off too many desperate Single White Female vibes to be taken seriously.

That's where it REALLY becomes obvious that Jason Priestley was right when he said that he believed Aaron Spelling got personal with his grudge towards Jason's early exit and he took it out on the character.

I totally agree and often felt that. It just did not seem right at all.

There are certain storylines I wish could be taken out of the canon in shows.

1) Emma in season 8
2) Andie cheating on Pacey off-screen in Dawson's Creek season 3
3) Lucas and Peyton becoming a thing yet again in One Tree Hill season 4
4) Marissa's death in The OC and her character destruction leading up to it
