No joke, I just came in here to say that I have so many thoughts about S8 that I might have to come back later and really take the time to analyze them:

• Brandon and Kelly's relationship, from the shooting to the wedding
• The introduction of Noah and him being the new eye candy for Kelly, Valerie and Donna
• Steve's life without Clare
• David and Valerie reuniting... Kind of
• The randomness of Hilary Swank (who wasn't known at that point)
• The Walsh parents coming back for the non-wedding
• The awfulness of Emma
• ...Anything else I can think of (which is not much)

To sum up: I hated this season

Zack was adorbs. They got rid of Hilary Swank way too quickly

I mean, from this perspective it seems stupid, but she really did not fit in. Then again, neither did Noah.

The season was a mess

They never gave Hilary's character a chance, because they made her a cliche boring parent who audiences didn't respond well to.

It was pretty obvious that she was supposed to be Steve's next big love interest after Clare.

As for Noah... Well, it was REALLY contrived how he just came back to Beverly Hills with them after the trip (why would he trust a bunch of strangers? ) but eventually, I got used to him.

I think they introduced too many new regulars in general -- not just in this season. It was like they kept trying to fill 'voids' that didn't really need to be filled IMO. Sometimes, you should just work with what you have.

Personally, I didn't need Ray, I didn't need Carly, and I certainly, positively did not need Valerie.

I never had a problem with Jesse, Clare, or Noah.

Janet is fine, but, if you take Steve away, I'm not sure what she really brings to the show. I even recall Jesse being included in a story line or two that didn't involve Andrea.

It seems like most people found Matt rather bland. I had no issue with him. From what I recall, he generally tried helping others.

Fair enough. I'm glad that the writers at least revisited the idea of Brandon and Kelly getting married, even if the resolution wasn't what their fans were hoping for.
