Whoo hoo! Next page. Yeah, I know. And these books are definitely for children (say, 9-14). I'm going to chalk this up not to our wondrous minds but to subliminal advertising. They sell you on the emotional bonding and then play upon your assumed puberty. It's cruel, really. So cruel ... lol.

SO ... do you agree that Kelly thought Dylan really meant it/would keep his word about staying platonic their night on the beach? Cause it is conceivable, the idea of him intending for more until she so adorably fell asleep cuddling with him.

I think she did, I think if she didn't she might not have ended going up there otherwise. I only think this though after reading the parts out of the book

I don't know on that, Mel. I'm not sure how much she would have trusted his words given their recent days together, but her concern may have been for her own ability to keep things patonic as much as his. If she trusted him and herself, she wouldn't have had to turn down the offer. They could have just gone as friends. Given how close they had become and Dylan's constant affections, though, I'm sure she had her doubts. The books says otherwise of course, but in the episode itself, she seems to be wary of putting herself into a postition where something more could happen. It's not that she didn't trust him, it was that she didn't trust that they could control their passion if they got too caught up in each other. What I am interested in knowing is what ultimately made her change her mind and go; the prospect that she could go and nothing would happen, or the prospect that she could go and something would.

I'm not sure that made any sense; I'm getting sleepy.
