I agree that the show should've ended in S8. But it is they decided that S8 was going to he final season, I hope it would've had better storylines than what we were given.

Well, I'd say the first was in Stand Up and Deliver, when she told him "If you really want something, you have to go for it. Hard." And Andrea interrupted them.

Now thinking of it, maybe Kelly just examined the terrain then and concluded she had a chance, so she waited for her moment in Spring Dance

Looking at that pic in S1 at Peach Pit, it looked like Kelly was passing something else before she sat down - definitely Spring In The Air
Kelly was testing Brandon's interest in her on Stand Up and Deliver episode, which then lead to her pursuing him in Spring Dance, only to be knocked sideways after his rejection, poor Kelly.
The kiss in first episode in S5 was hot, there was some serious tongue action there.
The one in S7 was when Brandon had this court case with Professor Randall (Lucinda's ex-husband). Kelly was dating Mark but clearly pining for Brandon.
I know I couldn't stand Kelly after S3 but to be fair to her she was tolerable in S7 and S8. Although BK started in S5, I still did not like her despite the fact I loved all BK moments in that season.

I think Kelly had her eye on Brandon from the pilot when she said him eating lunch by himself.

Maybe so but I think she may have had his eye on him at the party during the pilot episode when she found out that he was Brenda's brother, which explains one of the reasons why she became Brenda's friend in the first place

I don't think that Kelly became friends with Brenda to get close to Brandon. But I think she pursue him because she saw how good B/D had it and wanted the same thing.
