I'm halfaway through it! It's good so far, but it really feels like a play - the pacing, the music, the pauses... It's a very beautiful film btw, the attention to the details (the 50s settings) is incredible. Tom's character is... pretty much the epitome of immaturity, a man unable to go back to normal life after carrying himself through the war thanks to the costant rush of adrenaline or awareness of how important what he and his fellow soldiers were doing. Very energetic, charged performance. Oh, and Rachel Weisz is being amazing. Hopefully I can finish the movie before sleeps has the best of me, then my opinion will be more fair.
