There's a clip of the scene where Noah & Allie dance in the street posted on Slightly Askew.

Also, there's a link to caps from the "Making Of" piece posted on the Slightly Askew board.

Mandy: Did Noah & Allie kiss during the dancing clip? I couldn't get the screen to pop up, but I had sound.

Mandy: Thanks for letting me know.

coolove: I think Rachel & Ryan have a really good chemistry that will show through in the film.

- Helen - used this picture to make my av:

Don't they look like friends?

I was on Nicholas Sparks website today reading his May update & he said he did the commentary for The Notebook DVD in April. So we know we will at least be getting that for extras on the DVD.

<--- prays for extended clips of the love scene.

Here is a little more of what Nicholas had to say about The Notebook:

Quote:
But back to the really exciting news: As I mentioned, The Notebook will be coming out on June 25th. It's a very close adaptation to the novel and I'm pleased with it. Honestly, I think it's one of the most passionate films about young -- and everlasting -- love that I've ever seen. I know there are some people who never like films adapted from novels, and this makes sense, at least on surface. It's impossible for a film to match someone's imagination. But I think The Notebook does a pretty good job.

RoswellCutie86: Welcome to the thread!

- Helen -: Thanks for bringing that over. I think it's a very good sign that Nicholas Sparks is so happy with the end result.

I find the part about film not matching a person's imagination interesting. I saw an "ET Exclusive" for The Notebook a few months ago, so I've pictured Ryan in my head as Noah and Rachel in my head as Allie this whole time.

I bought the soundtrack to The Notebook this morning. It's mostly orchestral and there are pictures inside.

The Believer is airing tomorrow night (Wednesday) at 11pm on Showtime.

Helen, thanks for the info. I'm glad Nicholas Sparks approves of the movie. I've read his book and can't wait to see the movie. Almost there....3 more weeks.

RoswellCutie86: You should check out Ryan in The Believer. In my opinion, that's his best work.

- Helen -: Let's brainstorm! We know Nicholas Sparks did commentary for the film. I think there will be at least one of the cut love scenes on the extras. I hope the audition footage will be on the DVD, that would be interesting!

On Slightly Askew, it's posted that the premiere for The Notebook will be on June 21st at the Mann Village Theatre in Westwood, California. There's more information in the News Section.
