Music, dreams, what I want to happen next or instead of in a fandom. Loads of things

Oh that's another thing. Writing fic to change certain things in a fandom. Usually to suit my ship. You get inspired to take an original scene and make it different in a way.

I'm doing that with my Reunion fic at the moment, except I'm filling in the gaps to what I would like

Like all of you guys, music does inspire me. Also, listening to music scores from soundtracks are absolutely helpful. Try The Chronicles of Narnia. Haven't watched either movie or read the books but the music is great.

Also, watching certain scenes on YouTube. As odd as it sounds, I watch a snippet of something like a child running away or a confrontation between two people and *boom* an idea. And then I try to work my way in to the characters to make them a bit unique at the least.

Another thing is that RPG (Role Playing Games) have been a great source if you know where to look. Just as long as you don't steal the game starter's ideas outright.

That's why I love watching music videos on YT. The self made ones by fans. Even if I don't watch the show or know the characters, they are a great source for inspiration

Sometimes songs inspire me a lot. Certain lyrics... usually it's not the entire song that will catch my attention. Even just the beats sometimes... paints a picture in my head. As well, just everyday situations cause different little scenarios to form in my head and next thing I know it's running away with a life of its own, wanting to be written. Too bad I never do

I agree about scores. The Titanic soundtrack is so lovely and romantic it can be such an inspiration.

Alexander has a great score, Vangelis did such a good job. "Gardens of Delight" and "The Drums of Gaugamela" are so incredibly rhythmic, you could totally write to it.

Okay I kind of lied. Sometimes listening to classical music can help inspire me. It helps calm me down and makes me focus better. It's refreshing and its awesome to mellow out to

I LOVE fan-made YT videos. Some of them are wonderful and they can definitely help with the creative process.

It's not so much classical scores that help me, but stuff like the scores by Christophe Beck from BtVS episodes. Original ones from TV and movies are my favourite. Except the Harry Potter scores, they're so Potter-y I can't think of anything else.

Oh, I think fan fic definitely provides an opportunity for some wish fulfillment in the fandom

Yes I also think it's a good way to start writing, because you already have the characters very much laid out for you.

I never can write wish fulfillment fics. I wish I could write some nice and beautiful stories for my favorite couples but I can't. Hehe.

I get inspired more by the what layers could be hiding under certain actions, dialogue, etc.
