That is a good question. Although would Dean have been too young? I know there was a whole pattern with ages, but does age matter when it comes to demon blood? I don't really get how that whole process works.
At the end of the day Sam was always destined to be in that cot on that day. I don't think that could ever be changed. Dean tried to change the past and it still didn't work. Like Cas said, all roads lead to the same destination. Even if Mary had done all she could to protect her boys, I think they still would be where they are now. __________________
