Exactly! And there's many ways to have a home. It doesn't always means a house. But John didn't really new how to do the things that make people feel like tehy have a home. And yeah, Mary would definitely have wanted better for Dean.

But one has to wonder if life would have been any different for Dean if Mary had lived and John had died, Mary may have wanted a different life for her kids, but she was a hunte, she was willing to make a deal with the YED to save John's life, if the YED had killed him again? Who's to say Mary wouldn't have set out on a road of revenge, especially if she knew Sam was in trouble.

Agreed! Ever since ITB, I get the feeling Mary would go down the revenge route as well. Especially if they'd taken away the one thing that took her away from hunting and gave her the normal life she so badly wanted! Some things might have been different, but she wouldn't have run! She would have fought!
