From what I've heard, she's pretty heavy in the first couple of episodes.

I hope she stays around for ages. Killing her off after one season - would just really make me angry and feel predictable.

Besides shes a hunter - and will go off on her own for hunts many times or helping out other hunters off-screen like Jody, Donna or someone.

I can't believe we actually now that 3 female hunters around Mary, Donna and Jody. Man is season 12 the most packed season with female characters. I fear this might be the season we loose one or two.

I don't feel Donna and Jody are really hunters though. They know how to handle themselves should something supernatural come up, but they don't go and 'hunt'. Not like the Winchesters or Garth or somebody like that.

I agree with Bee. I don't really consider Jody and Donna hunters. They don't search for hunts they just keep an eye out for anything weird near them and take care of it or call someone (aka the boys) to take care of it.

I wish we kept getting her only in the past. I think Amy does such a wonderful job with her.

Actually that first one might even be from the pilot before she goes to check in on Sammy.

Bee, the episode order of that gifset goes:

'Pilot' - 'In the Beginning'
'The Song Remains the Same' - 'Home'

From the pilot it's after she checks in on Sam, from 'In the Beginning' is when she arrives with her dad at the house their investigating, from 'The Song Remains the Same' is her fight with Ana and the last one 'Home' is when she sacrifices herself to save Sam from the poltergeist.

Love that gifset btw.

I really enjoyed seeing young!Mary the actress did such an excellent job with her and it was weird (and nice) to see her with her adult kids

That a really great gif set Jaye! I would love to get more background on her soon. I loved young Mary so I am hoping to love regular Mary as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with Mary.
Now, there is one of the Supernatural books that is more about Mary & her family when she was a teen (around the time she was dating John if I remember right, but it's been a while since I read it.) I liked it & gave more info about Samuel & Mary's relationship.

I hope they do good with her because while we didn't truly have this character and we just had young Mary and flashbacks I really loved her but now that she's back on the show I'm just :looks: I'm gonna give it like the first three episodes (unless they really screw up the premier) to decide wether or not I like this character.
