Though something interesting occured to me right now.

The title of the ep is "The End in the Begining", right? Booth asked Brennan "who are you" at the END. And back to the BEGINING, when we first saw Booth naked in bed, Hodgins's voice was telling "Who is this man?"

My thoery, it's a way to reveal the core of the whole AU thing.

Who are they? If they are not crime investigater, but just themselves, she with all her rational mind, him with the loyalty, faith, etc, "What life are they leading? Do they lead single lives, or a single life shared?" And Brennan aka Mrs. B did said:"I’m glad we’re nightclub owners and night crime solvers."

In that world, they share their personal happiness, but in the really world, they have crimes to solve and bad guys to catch. It's their burden. "The thought of losing so much control over personal happiness is unbearable." It's sad. But Brennan began to realize that "Burdens that allow us to fly".

Just my personal theory...

There's this really good fanfic I read earlier (In Time, a Bones fanfic - FanFiction.Net) and I would be totally happy if the next season began with this...but of course it would be infinitely better if the first scene would be Booth grinning at Bones and saying, "Kidding!"
